General Upgrade

	Signup Now	General License Upgrade Class (Signup NOW!) The General License Upgrade Class, will start Tuesday, April 26, 2005 and run each Tuesday night from 6 PM to 9 PM until June 14. It will be held at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. (The same place where the Technician classes have been taught the past couple years) Let us help you earn your HF privileges!
		We will have General Class License Manuals available for purchase on the first day. You can also order a manual on-line now. Estimated Cost: $17. If you choose to buy a used manual, make sure it's the 2004 Fifth Edition. (The older 4th edition has the old set of FCC questions in it.) ISBN: 0-87259-920-5
		Lee Hodges (KC8ITI), President of the Midland Amateur Radio Club has developed this course and will be the primary instructor. Other Amateur Radio operators will be lending assistance throughout the class sessions.
	.. .-.. .. -.- . -- --- .-. ... . -.-. --- -.. .	Rick Schattilly (KC8VOA) is running Morse code training on the VHF frequency of 147.240 MHz. (Saginaw Repeater) The training usually runs at 9 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Code training will also be conducted on the VHF frequency of 147.000 MHz (Midland Repeater.) The schedule will be announced in class. ARRL Training CD's for Morse code are also available and are very convenient for practicing on your own schedule or in your car. The weekly ARRL practice code is available in MP3 format or live on shortwave radio (HF) every night according this schedule.
